Overheard at Sonic Youth in Berkeley…

“Daydream nation was like… one of the most important albums of the 90’s, and my personal favorite of all time…”

For the record, saying anything remotely similar to: “…[such and such album] was the most important album of [buzzword time-frame]…” is a dead giveaway that someone has no idea what they’re talking about.

Smug white people make me laugh. As you would probably have guessed, he was your run-of-the-mill hipster twat, ala Greg Brady, spit’n game at a hapless kewpie doll in line behind me. I wish I would have snapped a picture, because nothing tickles me more than seeing a walking cliche in action.

Daydream nation is an awesome album and all, but something tells me that this douche nozzle only had three or four mp3s downloaded, and had payed no attention to Sonic Youth prior to seeing the ticketmaster spam message in his gmail inbox. Do us all a favor, and go back to listening to the Plain White Tees. You’re holding up the line for the rest of us.

On a side note, I took several pictures of the show. Ben and I got some pretty good seats, so I was able to get some decent shots. If you want a larger version of any of the photos, just send me an email.
