I never thought for a second that I’d totally acclimate to the warm, dry, California climate. I’d scoff accordingly at the droves people I would see in California wearing a thick, expensive, “The North Face” coat in 40 degree weather. “They don’t know cold.” or “What a pack of pansies” I’d say.

It wasn’t until I arrived back home… Janesville, Wisconsin, that I realized that I had all but completely succumb to the pleasantries of the Mediterranean climate in California. Last night, we received about 8″ of powder. Everything is covered. Our poor dog can barely relieve himself without risk of frost bite on his genitals.

Today’s weather report:
Sacramento, California; High: 55, Low: 40.
Janesville, Wisconsin; High:10, Low: -10. (Wind chill as low as -25)
Fuck this.
